The body is sturdy, heavy in the hand, intentionally imperfect. Marks are used to bring the process of making alive and fired in place. It is unique, impossible to repeat, made to mirror the person who will hold it in their hand and use it for their unique intentions. The inside is glazed with a traditional Japanese Shino Glaze (enamel), while the outside is raw, revealing the stoneware’s natural tooth and sandy tactility. It was created to be intuitive, instinctive, like a breath caught in clay.
Hand-built and fired at high temperatures, this piece is dishwasher safe, though hand-washing is always gentler on handmade wares as the glaze can lose it's shine overtime.

Color: Natural brown-red clay with sand and iron to create the rough, natural look.
